Accounts Payable Associate – Part-Time (15 hours/week); Boston, MA
This position reports to the Manager of Inventory Control and Accounts Payable
Job Responsibilities:

Purchase Accounts Payable Responsibilities

Process all merchandise payable invoices, obtaining necessary approvals and document backup.

Process check runs on weekly basis or as needed.

Work cooperatively with Receiving and Inventory Departments to process perishables and hard-goods invoices to ensure accuracy and make resolutions as needed.

Receive and post international invoices on daily basis, fax next day’s shipment to retail locations.

*General Accounting Responsibilities

Post and reconcile banking deposits for company retail locations

Reconcile bank account statements.

Post FTD and Teleflora statements to General Ledger

Pay and reconcile monthly sales tax payables

Process monthly payroll accruals and post weekly payroll to General Ledger

Assist Accounts Payable Manager with various A/P tasks
Candidate Attributes:
- Strong Accounts Payable experience required; experience in high-end retail and/or nursery, horticultural or floral industry is a plus, but not necessary

Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, and have knowledge of other standard Microsoft Office programs and the ability to adapt to internal computer systems

Garden Design Field Manager – Full-Time, Boston, MA
Winston Flowers now offers garden design and installation services to our exclusive residential and commercial customer base.
We are seeking a creative and motivated individual to serve as a Garden Design Field Manager, to provide the creativity, technical
expertise and leadership skills to successfully execute the Winston aesthetic in outdoor environments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients regarding container plantings, roof decks and small garden spaces and assist with product selection to best suit the environment and space

In collaboration with the client, Creative Director and Garden Design General Manager, create plantings consistent with Winston Flowers standards and aesthetic
-
Create client proposals and follow up with clients to ensure 100% satisfaction
-
Lead the execution of design and installation of material at client site, directing the activities and productivity of garden design associates
-
Responsible for maintaining daily standards in all operations, including materials, supplies, team performance and company vehicles
-
Flexible to perform other duties as needed during Garden Design off-seasons
Candidate Attributes:
- Ability to establish new client relationships and build and maintain existing relationships

Candidate must have experience in sales and installation of specialty landscaping, roof decks, container plantings and window boxes

Inside Sales Associate - Full-Time - Boston
This is not your typical customer service position! This dynamic, creative inside sales position is responsible for providing excellent service to our clients on a variety of levels. As a critical member of our sales team, you will assist clients with gift product selection, questions and specific product requests. We look for candidates with a high level of energy, who are self-motivated and who will thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment that provides support, resources, and rewards for excellence and achievement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize Customer Relationship Management process to create custom gift product presentations for clients during telephone sales calls; using a consultative approach to build rapport and present key selling points while focusing on the customer’s needs

Effectively upholds the service standards of Winston Flowers by providing excellent service, assisting customers with product selection and troubleshooting client issues, while managing internal processes to ensure timely deliveries

Work closely with our Account Executive sales team to provide a wide range of floral services for our wide range of clientele

Retail Manager – Winston Flowers & Garden
This position reports to Winston Flowers & Garden General Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working closely with General Manager, responsible for all aspects of management and sales performance for the Winston Flowers flagship retail location, including the floral sales and nursery lines of business

Effectively upholds the service standards of Winston Flowers by establishing a strong presence on the sales floor and leading a diverse retail team to maximize sales by mentoring through sales leadership, training, coaching, and personal example

Help drive the sales of the store by fostering existing client relationships and
-
building new relationships

Ensure outstanding customer service and strong visual merchandising presentations standards are met on a daily basis

Participate in the selection and transfer of necessary floral, plant and hard good products from Design Studio headquarters to Store

Partner with Store Manager to ensure proper business operations systems and procedures are in place, used correctly and enforced

Keyholder responsibilities: opening/closing the store, z-outs and cash management, as well as perform administrative tasks including staff scheduling, payroll, updating staff bulletin board and facilitating meetings

Responsible for overall operations of the store in the General Manager’s absence; continues to develop managerial skills, in preparation of becoming a Store Manager

Sales Responsibilities:

Assist clients with floral and accessory product selection and design floral and plant product based on skill level
